One ordinary night a young girl came across a sentient ball of fur. Black as the night, with a pair of damaged wings. She took the creature in, and nursed it back to health. Rewarded with a "kiss," she could sleep happy. Light shining through the window woke her the next day, and her skin was on fire. Looking in the mirror, her eyes glowed red.
